About Dr. Yearwood
Dr. Thomas Yearwood, MD, PhD
Dr. Thomas Yearwood, MD, PhD, is an interventional Pain Medicine specialist and world renowned thought leader in spinal cord stimulation and other implantable neuromodulation devices. He has published book chapters and original research papers in neurostimulation, and has been involved in numerous medical device clinical trials. He is a noted speaker for neurostimulation, and has been a consultant for medical device manufacturers for over 20 years. Dr. Yearwood has a PhD in Mechanical Engineering (Biomechanics) and is board certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. He has a major pain management center with four offices in the Mobile, Alabama area, where he implants SCS systems as a primary therapy. Dr. Yearwood was instrumental in helping Meagan Medical secure the SCS-IFC patent.
